Blue Prints of a Nomadic Life

Changthang youth explored nomadic heritage via cyanotype photography: observing seasonal migrations, costumes, kitchens, livestock, and shelters in Ladakh's harsh landscapes. Discussing adaptation to land and climate, they created blue-toned prints of symbols and objects, curating a “Nomads of Changthang” living museum prototype. This hands-on process taught history, design, chemistry, and visual storytelling, recasting everyday life as intelligent, living heritage.
