Heritage in Our Hands
Supported by Germany's Cultural Preservation Grant, the “Heritage in Our Hands” workshop united Skurbuchan Village elders, students, and monastics in Ladakh to explore food, agriculture, kitchens, and objects as living heritage. Through stories, hands-on labeling, exhibit design, and spatial planning, they reimagined a community museum as a space of memory and belonging, turning the village into a classroom. Youth bridged generations, learning history, ecology, design, and identity via everyday rituals and collective stewardship.
