Blue Prints of Nomadic Life

Blue Prints of Nomadic Life

An experiential heritage workshop where young people explored nomadic life as a living system of knowledge, adaptation and design .

An experiential heritage workshop where young people explored nomadic life as a living system of knowledge, adaptation and design . Through observation and dialogue around seasonal migration, clothing, kitchens, livestock and shelters, learners examined how Changthang’s pastoral communities adapt to land and climate.

Using cyanotype photography , they transformed everyday objects and symbols into blue-toned visual stories, eventually curating a “Nomads of Changthang” living museum prototype . The experience brought together history, ecology, chemistry, design and visual storytelling, encouraging learners to recognise everyday nomadic practices as intelligent and evolving heritage.

Methodology

Observe → Discover → Collect → Experiment → Interpret → Curate
